i have kubuntu 11.04 installed. before installed kubuntu, had installed live cd of linux mint, see if it. question this: when installed kubuntu, retained mint grub splash screen background, updated offer ubuntu instead of mint! normal thing ubuntu/mint installs? i'm not complaining, it's minor annoyance, no big deal, wondering. if isn't normal, there way of changing splash screen won't display mint background? thanks you can use burg customize boot menu burg ubuntu community documentation how install from burg's code page screenshots i'm not sure mint installer (haven't used it) - have created separate /boot partition, when installed ubuntu recognized /boot partition , overwrote necessary entries contained there.
