i frustrated illustrator's font handling, , on-line helps seem below worthless -   received file yesterday font not resident on system, customer included separate (ttf) file. installed font in windows/fonts (the place know install it) , opened file, , voila! there is.  today, when try re-open file, continually old "font not found on system" flag.  tired of that. font still there, , accessible other, more user-friendly applications, adobe doesn't see it. windows on c drive, adobe , archived graphic files on e drive, thought might problem - so, per instructions on illustrator on line "help", created "program files/common files/adobe/fonts" folder on e drive , moved new font there.  adobe still doesn't see it.   i might add have dozens of nice bought-and-paid-for fonts in "windows/fonts" seem have no problem accessing other programs - not adobe.  there special secret installing fonts adobe, , being able use them?   (i'm running cs5 -

i had joomla 3.4.0 running on mac mini 2 years without problem. since server running mac os x 10.10 (yosemite), decided last week update mac os x 10.12 (sierra). since then, when i'm using site build joomla, time time, specially when using chronoform v5 , chronoconnectivity v5, somehow, port number 34580 added domain in url, causes browser report can't connect server. anybody knows why port number added server domain? same reason, cannot validate chronoform because when go validation page, chronoform sees server url http://www.server.com:34580 server url http://www.server.com . any appreciated! check chronoform settings , see if picked settings previous setup ? i'm encountering same behavour grep , folders. strange: seems connected home directory encryption. when run code: grep somthingtosearch /tmp grep doesn't return (and expected because there nothing find). code: grep somthingtosearch /home/user ...returns: code: grep: /home/user: invalid argument note "user" user name of user logged in , folder enrypted usign ubuntu's default method of home directory encryption. , error message seems connected encryption. on ubuntu machine without home folder encryption grep isn't returning error. just upgraded lr 4.4 on win7 intel i7 core. version crashiong doing simplest tasks - clicking on folder in library module. it's beyond silly - first win7 says "lightroom not responding" generic message - fails , totally crashes. re-start of app gets going again - pain. 4.3 extremely stabel , never acted this. type of memory trap going on? have this?   tl i've had no trouble after upgrading lr4.3 lr4.4.  sounds serious installation problem.    at risk of stating obvious, suggest ( after making sure have backup of lr catalog , image files on external drive or separate machine): reinstall lr - if doesn't work, remove lr , reinstall.  try deleting preferences file ( see locations @ http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-4.html ). if worked prior upgrade lr4.4 not after, try windows system restore. try opening backup catalog. one of might @ least give clue what's happening.    but obviously, make sure catalog , image files backed
