i'm missing source footage, , can take *very* long time find file on server i'm connected to.   is there way see original path of missing footage? figure dectective work backtracking folders if knew after effects looking these files. generally it's not best idea work footage slow server. path folder file won't either. if still there, ae should find , wouldn't missing, right? hi. found appears bug using cross fade between 2 clips shadow highlight effect. cross faded 2 clips (240fps avchd fs700) each rgb curves , shadow/highlight , sometimes i nasty side effect. side effect random white flashing, or rather erratic application of shadow/highlight effect. maybe it's because trying process effect on footage losing opacity due cross fade, , happens, colour data changes result. effect may not happen outright when try it, think applies specific clips, or clips shadow number higher highlights or vice versa. happening again in new edit , worries me because effect gives, not buggy side effect.   here video first experienced it. appears happen @ 2:18, in next video, it's happening in opening shot.   rendering gtx570 & pprocs6. i've had happen too.   solved rendering without gpu acceleration. ok, subject says happening. have tested ram several times, , have managed through entire render without crashing 16gb. when go on 16gb, doesn't last longer 10 minutes rendering. here "wer2678.tmp.appcombat" file windows crash said check more information. i'll send on multiprocessing files , compy specs.   so, here happening.   in comp have 5 layers, 20 min long. have 1 video layer, couple of adjustment layers, , null think. effects: brighness contrast, keylight, exposure, levels. also, there few masks thrown in there. i'm rendering out .mov dnxhd codec.   global cache set ssd, giving 20gb, had on 7200 rp hdd giving 500gb, think ssd faster anyways, samsung pro.   alright. here multiprocessing file: installed ram: 15.93 gb current ram usage: 1.07 gb allowed ram usage: 12.93 gb process id application name min needed memory max usable memory max allowed memory current memory current priority 4724 after effects 0.00 0.00 12.93 0.00 3 - low 4780 aeselflink 2.00 2.00 2.0

first off wanted made ubuntu possible. in opinion best distro out there. i'm have nagging problem burner on lenovo y560 comes matshita dvd-ram uj890 , i'm using 11.10 ubuntu(all packages updated). in every distro i've ran i've no matter ubuntu,kubuntu,xubuntu,opensuse, same burning problems...pun intended. record error random buffer problems try using different write speed, or on next attempt try using different write mode. have gone through numerous discs try solve , think lies somewhere linux's ability calibrate the proper power. had no problems in windows (i hate windows) prosupport dell , have fix hundreds of cases windows on daily basis. home laptop use *buntu versions. anyway started getting consistent debug log after manually dropped burn speed down 4x, says burner doesnt support 4x , bumps 8x promptly fails @ least still 1 error message now. full debug log below. code: devices ----------------------- matshita dvd-ram u
