hello, 1 of main uses ubuntu network diagnostics, , i'm having ease-of-use issue oneiric. in past versions, when connected wireless, click tray icon , disconnect access point. option appears missing oneiric. i'll give real-world example. yesterday troubleshooting wireless connectivity , throughput @ site 3 access points. needed able 1.) scan access points using airodump-ng , 2.) connect specific access points essid same. had create several new networks in network-manager each 1 tied specific bssid, found couldn't switch between them without turning wireless off , on auto-connect disabled on of them. using airodump-ng scan access points , clients in real time, channel-hops, gets locked 1 channel when associate ap. way free turn wireless off, crashes airodump-ng because interface goes down, , restart it. that's annoying. used able click network manager tray icon , click disconnect. same wired connections (and there situations needed deco

i've written javascript parse though every page in document , update content in page titles.  updates number scheme in form x.y.z [title] when i've deleted pages , need numbering scheme updated.  of these page titles have cross-references linking them sections of document. script takes contents of text frame , replaces new string has corrent number scheme.  whenever happens, breaks cross-reference linking paragraph text.  how maintain cross-reference link every text frame while updating contents? hello.   i having issues downloading adobe indesign, photoshop , illustrator. working on pc windows xp, i’m guessing 2004. attempted download illustrator via cloud. tried opening program; loaded few minutes , came following message “this program has encountered problem , needs close. apologise inconvenience.”   then downloaded indesign no assisting program – directly website. failed. tried removing program, downloading again in different location didn’t help. repeated process many times, trying several different locations no luck. software download, not open. when attempt download it, in adobe download window (the destination download folder options), there yellow symbol exclamation mark next ‘adobe indesign’ , file size be.   i thought there not enough disk space after tried clearing space program did not open. disk space not issue computer telling me have enough space indesign download.   i read somewhere reason why indesign may fail open default printer may not connected. connected

i've installed ubuntu (currently 11.10) on creaky old dell optiplex. several times day, spontaneously reboots, when doing graphics-intensive stuff (e.g., opening stellarium sure shutdown/reboot). i've concluded problem largely puny hardware, , looking new more serious os-free system replace current one, on plan install ubuntu again. of course, i've installed lot of stuff on dell, , avoid going thru reinstalling programs. regularly backup utility. what's easiest way move on current hardware new (and presumably more stable) desktop? what mean "everything"? data or applications installed later on? moving data easy if kept in home folder. moving applications difficult , not recommend doing it. hello, i use a l ightroon 4.3 recently when i used the software to work with images i not work with them for following reason : 1 . pictures shown as empty squares . 2 . there no information @ about the image.
