i'm having significant problems ubuntu partition @ moment. haven't booted @ least 6 months, , decided boot variety of reasons. unfortunately, network going slowly. running internet speed test shows average speed of 5mbps down, whereas on windows speed around 40mbps down. additionally, had period network cut out entirely. assumed latter part connected me looking hostname during google search, tried changing dns servers 8.8.8.8 , 8.8.4.4 (google). helped rid of verizon's dns adverts, didn't solve underlying problem. pulling out wireshark, turns out networking flat out cuts out @ points. started pinging website (thedailywtf.com), , wireshark shows dns resolving (looks right), , couple other bits happening send icmp query , response, after few seconds just.... stops. nothing happens. see icmp requests go out absolutely no other networking, not background networking such router asking tree info. i'm pretty stumped on here. doesn't happen w

hey guys. think made biggest noob move of life right now. changing panel settings , accidently deleted bottom panel cause thought junk 1 added. how default 1 back? there's no way default panel once delete it. however, being said, should able boot live cd , open thunar window open in live cd's user account 'ubuntu' home directory. hit ctrl+h view hidden files. browse /home/ubuntu/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml leave window open. open second thunar window, mount computer's hard drive , browse same location in user's home directory on computer's hard drive. copy file xfce4-panel.xml live cd's home on 1 in home. reboot computer. should have default panels back. hope helps. hey, yesterday attempted uninstall fedora system, didn't work , never used it. stupid , removed partition never got windows bootloader back. installing ubuntu alongside windows 7: a) fill free space left fedora, installer wouldn't let me choose has no filesystem name or something, and b) make me able start windows grub menu. thanks. depends on how have partitioned hdd. in case during installation, clicking "something other" gparted , can arrange partitions. delete fedora's partition , instead install ubuntu. grub going automatically recognize ubuntu , windows. i sure pressed on keyboard accident, , hope can explain me how make text boxes normal again.   on 1 page in forthcoming book, when click on text box there, dashed box appears around it, if it's been grouped.  i've discovered solid-line box appears around each line of type, , there no way edit type line (not want to, cursor doesn't show).   i can retype everything, because there isn't on page, but:      of mean?      how did there?  (i love keystroke commands, btw) and      there way rid of of this?   thanks! screenshot please. i installed new, clean install of joomla 3.7.0 no demo content. installed plugin jconverter import data wordpress database joomla. seemed well. after importing wordpress site, had new "main" menu assigned administrator (this menu not in other joomla site have, or @ least not visible). causing conflicts pages i'm trying create (xxxx exists, trashed item, etc). time i'd click view next page of menu items, said no items available. when i'd click view "main" menu items, said no items available. in order view these items, had close out , go in. tried renaming "main" menu, gave error (sorry, don't remember said.) tried adding note "main" menu, same error. deleted "main" menu assigned administrator, , components menu missing administrator navigation (see attachment). i've tried fixing database, clearing cache, rewriting menu database ( http://techthou.[url banned].com/2013/09/pr ... -from.html ), reinstalling joomla core fi

when working in premiere pro cs 5.5, when press save, save box comes , freezes. have fotce quit premiere pro , re-open again.   why happen?   most of time works fine , not freeze.   it's frustrating when does.   how can fix little problem?   thanks in advance i don't recall issue ever coming before. first guess system instability.
