i have been photographer (amateur) many years, , possibility use dlsr produce hd-video interest video has increased significantly.   in world of photography formats not many , raw format has simplified editing. but... world of video seems more complicated  , complex. not there formats there codex.   i have tried grasp information in subject available on internet. i'm more confused after reading before. there many contradictory 'holy grail' -truths out there.   we know it's idea save jpg files in tiff format while working picture avoid artefacts , when job done picture saved in jpg.   in world of digital video there similarity jpg in form of codex. understand many means encoding intermediate codex (less compressed) makes editing more efficient.  editing mean colour correction , grading. purpose of encoding rid of information don't need perceive clip , make file smaller of algorithms. possible obtain better 'raw' material editing decode less compressed codex?

hi all. there has been issue affecting several people on last few months in mouse or touchpad spontaneously becomes unresponsive. cursor still move, cannot click on anything. thread ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1576094 ) , others resolve issue unplugging usb mouse , plugging in different usb port. problem occurs touchpad cannot unplug. know how can reassign touchpad port, or mimic unplugging/replugging solution people have used usb mice? also, insight root cause of issue appreciated. guess must kernel problem. using updated ubuntu 10.10 i've had same issue on arch linux well, , on gnome, xfce, , xmonad. turn off 'disable trackpad while typing' worked me on hp pavilion dm1-3200sa issue. failing that: ctrl-alt-f2 log tty sudo rmmod psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse it's not elegant solution. despues de haber realizado un sitio en joomla todo funcionaba perfectamente, hasta que se me ofreció crear un usuario para que puedan publicar contenido y me di cuenta que habia un usuario desconocido (su correo terminaba en .ru), inmediatamente lo eliminé sin fijarme los detalles del usuario, bueno, el caso es que intente crear un usuario y me salia el error: code: select all se ha producido un fallo al guardar con el siguiente error: have error in sql syntax; check manual corresponds mysql server version right syntax use near ' 5)' resulta que alguien (supongo que ese usuario) cambio la estructura de las tablas de usuario y grupos de usuarios, para suerte tenia una copia de seguridad de las tablas que me permitió resolver este problema. ¿como puedo evitar que esto vuelva suceder? ¿como pudo crearse este usuario? ¿cómo pudo modificar la estructura de la base de datos? ¿existe alguna medida de seguridad que le informe al correo del super user que se realizaron cambios en la bas

(try mounting /sys.) this apart, grub works , can launch form hs. tried reinstall ubuntu, not in way can see partion (the hd blank unallocated space in installation procedure). see blank space gparted too. tried use cfdisk /dev/sda , got error message: fatal error: bad primary partition 4: partition ends after end of disk i tried testdisk, had windows message error @ startup (when switch pc on, not @ windows startup), forces me use windows recovery disk. don't have grub menu anymore , have install live cd, etc, etc... there way can have new partition list?

this dual-boot install of ubuntu 10.10 desktop on fresh partition. when booted after install, dumped command line , told telling me go https://wiki.ubuntu.com/security/cpufeatures figured out nx problem (it couldn't check during install process, huh?). fixed but, no surprise, kicked me command line. while in command line poking around kept throwing error codes screen , lock black screen...this happened several times. not x invoking startx or gdm (it lock black screen). couldn't press power key shut down... flash usual stuff shutting down. happened several times when booted. did not lock when booted safe mode terminal networking think continued throw error codes @ me... 2 codes seemed come before lock involved ppdev , udevd. former caught on screen right before locked, latter sysmsg log. went through , upgraded on new install still didn't work. tried using rcconf add gdm start still failed. question is, there known fix this?

this weird one. i upgraded site 3.7.5 3.8.1 , issue started. know happens because use myjoomla.com , moniutoring tells me site goes down twice day (always different times no pattern near backup time etc) , each time pretty 17 or 18 minutes 500 error , comes on own! i have since updated 3.8.2 , still same. i have backup can revert there no disaster here have date. there isnt installed on site isnt on else run , simple rockettheme template no plugins havent tried disabling. it went down , went admin (which works fine) , disable modules , site came back, when turned them on still working. rocksprocket modules , custom ones, nothing else. if has suggestions of how check grateful: https://www.bluestonetherapy.co.uk cheers i have custom modules , rocksprocket modules running , no plugins dont have on other sites. the last times has gone down including have unpublished rocksprocket modules , came life, next time went down unpublished custom modules , came life. i baffled got suggestions ple
