Installing new fonts in Illustrator

i frustrated illustrator's font handling, , on-line helps seem below worthless -

 

received file yesterday font not resident on system, customer included separate (ttf) file. installed font in windows/fonts (the place know install it) , opened file, , voila! there is.  today, when try re-open file, continually old "font not found on system" flag.  tired of that. font still there, , accessible other, more user-friendly applications, adobe doesn't see it.


windows on c drive, adobe , archived graphic files on e drive, thought might problem - so, per instructions on illustrator on line "help", created "program files/common files/adobe/fonts" folder on e drive , moved new font there.  adobe still doesn't see it.

 

i might add have dozens of nice bought-and-paid-for fonts in "windows/fonts" seem have no problem accessing other programs - not adobe.  there special secret installing fonts adobe, , being able use them?

 

(i'm running cs5 - have discs in hand 6, haven't installed them yet.)

what version of windows running?  why did install illustrator on e drive?

 

i believe solution may reinstall illustrator on c drive--that's programs 'should' installed , that's program fonts first.

with windows, fonts folder place install fonts. windows there 1 registry file , that's registry entries installed--so installing program on different drive seems asking problems (at least seems doing did increase 'launch' time while program trying find it's pieces).

there should folder name (program files) on e drive if that's installed application.

good morning you! since joomla! version still running on 3.7.5, trying update current version 23.8.1. tried, got white page due incompatibility 1 of extension (page builder pro). decided first upgrade extension, , trying again. tried update, received error message of dublicated tables. went phpmyadmin , deleted these tables manually. same error appeared again, when tried update part. extension. in order rid of extension, tried remove extension via extension manager. hit "remove" button, got logged out. while trying log admin, got message: you not have access administrator section of site. . yes, changed _user table in phpmyadmin, , checked configuration.php, i'm still not able lock admin. however, checked , browsed internet solution, couldn't find hint, excepted, had similar issue , asked post output of "forum assistant". have no idea if narrow problem, @ least gotta try! of appreciated! thank in advance! part i: forum post assistant (v1.3.5) : 2nd november ...
