3.8 upgrade : Fatal error: Cannot declare class JInput, because the name is already in use - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
another user problem after updatee 3.8.
white screens on both user , admin sides after installing update. edited configuration.php set error reporting maximum, error message on both front , backend :

i have seen 1 other report of exact same error, on akeeba support section, response nothing akeeba. have backup week ago, loathe lose past week's work. have dozen or more sites update, there no way trust current update stick 3.7x until problems ironed out. please have idea how fix error.
and saying update not disaster; disaster me, , many others having significant problems current update. have never had problem updating before not fixed within few minutes, far have spent several hours , got nowhere. have been joomla user pretty since original release, sites hosted on virtual servers administer myself , have fair amount of coding experience, @ present has me beat.

this can caused many issues, since suspecting akeeba, try disabling akeeba plugins , see if fixes problem. easiest way rename akeeba related folders under "plugins" folder.
