Autosave - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

this doesn't seem have been asked while wonder if there possibility of autosave function being included when creating articles. find nothing on here or in jed - maybe search missing something?

i've been using joomla since called mambo , must have created dozens of sites , hundreds of articles still getting caught out lack of autosave.

the usual scenario creating new article , interrupts me - phone call, @ door, kettle boiling - , when come don't notice system has timed me out (yes know can extend session lifetime, , set hour during initial setup , population of new site). come , don't notice timed out , click save , bounced login screen.

this becoming more pressing issue many applications include functionality standard , alternative cms's have it. has got stage using wordpress in preference joomla many client sites largely because of missing functionality.

one possibly simple workaround have session timeout put warning on screen have chance copy , past precious text before disappeared login screen.

i understand problem between editor , joomla makes difficult - can't impossible, @ least built in tinymce editor of use.

in first instance implemented when creating new article hasn't been saved yet if easier do. in general want autosave save edits draft, not published version, whatever setting of published flag.

is there chance of getting autosave on roadmap? or there in extension or plugin , haven't found - in case please point me @ solution.
