hi ubuntu forums , danansen here.trying play avi (x-msvideo) wont play in vlc or xine / movie player either cant find difinitive info how this,see conflicting post on ubuntu forums using wine / ffmpeg ideas appreciated ....thanks ... danansen would happen know format video in? lot in figuring out what's needed play (avi container file, , can include audio/video encoded in pretty format). on other hand if vlc doesn't play it, thinks looking quite bad you... anyway, installing ubuntu-restricted-extras package , stuff medibuntu repository should work pretty every video doesn't use nasty drm or something.
