Question about a Blurry Glass effect
hi guys, created account , joined , sorry start question have been dying know if there solution this.
i use adobe fireworks cs5.
this did (step step) please bare me.
1 - ] created vector shape, dropped shade etc,
2 - ] added random picture background.
3 - ] copied first vector image , pasted 10 pixel right , under. used drop shadow , knock-out option rid of inside filling , keep stroke, shade etc.
4 - ] coppied second vector image , used "convert path marquee" cut piece background image.
5 - ] applied blur effect on piece , got this.
6 - ] selected background image , piece blurred , sent them back.
7 - ] got glass shape gives impression image behind glass blurry because of glass itself.
as can guess if move background image 200 pixels right side blurry image , background image won't match because cut piece background image create blurry part. question : there way create blurry glass looking shape without cuting piece background image ? , part of background image stays under glass looks blurry when move background image ?
thank in advance
i think copy entire background image (not portion) , apply blur effect, add mask blurred copy, showing portion want reveal—like curved left side, in example. soften mask, set vector's edge feather or use gaussian blur effect. once that's done, keeping masked copy , original background image within same layer folder make them easy select , move unit. meanwhile, if want change portion of image being blurred, move mask.
