Latest version of Flash Player won't install on my Mac

i've been using flash player on mac safari many years , i've never had problem updating flash player.  time keeps telling me quit safari , dashboard before can continue.  problem these 2 things stopped , not running.  it's bad enough have have (bloated) flash player in first place @ least flash player should install without issues.  i've done countless upgrades of flash player , it's never done before.  help.

i feel pain , have solution should work. have been battling several weeks now, gave up, , wrapped call apple engineer hour or ago. come find out, regardless of o/s tells in activity monitor safari, dashboard, or both "not" running, these processes in fact being called. seems that, @ least in case, on up-to-date os x / safari combo, , weather channel widget installed, never newest adobe flash player update install. remove weather channel widget, adobe flash update process again work normally. makes absolutly no sense, , apple engineer able reproduce fix on 2 systems , reproduce issue , fix on his. not "blame" issue rests, suspect issue weather channel widget - or @ least how interacting o/s , safari. suggest checking installed/active widgets grab/stream soft of content via web, removing them, , re-running flash updater. hope helps. please reply let me know if did trick too.

hello all, i got same 500 error on frontend , other error on backend. on backend got menu , nothing works. but not right after update 3.7.5 3.8.1. worked 1st time. wanted turn on recaptcha inside visforms form maker component (3.9.2, newest one) , 500 error message came after that. thus suppose 500 error problem in j! 3.8.1 connected recaptcha security somehow well. gap1 please set error reporting maximum in global configuration or $error_reporting='maximum' in configuration.php file , reproduce 500 error.
