Joomla 3.7.3 vs. PHP 7.1.6 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

installed 3.7.3 update morning 3.7.2. system running on server php 7.1.6. 2 modules failed: login , menu instantiation of maximenu ck.

the login module appeared, didn't anything. if tried login while logged out, page refreshed still logged out. trying logout, page refreshed still logged in.

the maximenu ck module appeared on 1 web page didn't appear @ all. (another maximenu ck module appears on pages appears , acts on pages either version of php.)

distinctive properties of both failing modules not appear on pages. is, both of these modules appear "only on selected pages" rather on "all pages". reported problem before , no resolution suggested.

i backed off php version 7.0.16 , both modules work expected. urge examine logic around "decide modules show in given position" seems causing these modules fail when php version 7.1.6 used.

assume using default login module.

i can think of obvious things check:

you said menu behaves if assigned "selected" rather "all" pages. try resetting assignments again, e.g. first set "none", save/close , clear cache (browser/joomla), set assignment "all" once again, save/close , clear cache (browser/joomla) force refresh (ctrl+f5 usually).

test both php 7.0.16 , 7.1.6

could template trouble (compatibility 3.7.3).

i suggest instances menus not working expect, turn on php reporting e.g. when set php 7.1.6

do both problems problem exhibit same behaviour in other browsers (ie, opera, firefox, chrome etc)? try above in each browser in turn.

i don't have suggestion login module issue (refreshing page, rather logging on / logging off).

i don't quite understand since if can't log in in first place, according statement above, how can log out?
