Thread: Strange SSL subdomain redirection problem

i have rather strange problem redirection web sites using ssl.

running ubuntu 11.10 x64 in vps box , have set 2 web sites using apache2. first one, let's call site1.com diaspora pod , uses ssl , therefore accessed through https://www.site1.com.

there web site, intend personal web site, let's call site2.com uses ssl , when accessed through https://www.site2.com works fine. have set namevirtualhost *:443 directive in apache2 configuration file , servername localhost and, have guessed, use sni on same ip address.

thing is, want setup several subdomains on site2.com, use ssl, not have wildcard ssl certificate use ssl certificate issued primary site2.com domain. thing is, when type, example, https://subdomain.site2.com, gets redirected https://www.site1.com - other site has nothing second one.

have configured dns subdomains want use on other site, problem persists.

problem here? how solve this?

ping.
