Thread: Sound not working Ubuntu 11.10 install


new ubuntu, heard great things linux took plunge. however, audio not working @ all. i've tried hunt down potential volume sliders systems settings keyboard locks individual programs. windows xp hardware manager says i'm using realtek high definition audio driver. output device available in system settings "internal audio analog stereo." ubuntu lspci output is:
