Thread: Dual booting and shared partition problems

i've got new laptop , installed ubuntu 11.10 64 bit, dual booted windows 7 professional (32 bit). have 4 partitions - 50gb ntfs partition windows, 20gb ext4 partition ubuntu, 390gb ntfs shared partition documents, , 3gb of swap space. have changed /etc/fstab documents partition mounted automatically @ startup:

code:
/dev/sda3 /media/documents ntfs auto 0 1
whenever boot ubuntu, message saying serious errors found while checking disk drive /media/documents. press ignore, s skip mounting, or m manual recovery. on previous system dual booted windows xp , ubuntu 11.04 (32 bit), , didn't have problems. /etc/fstab set same.

this message typically says ubuntu unable mount filesystem reason. instance fail consistency check.

can manually mount partition?
code:
sudo mount /dev/sda3
if can may want set last digit of fstab entry 0 instead of 1, disable automatic check @ boot time. can perform disk checks in windows.
