Thread: No Boot, No Button Shutdown, No Keyboard/Mouse feedback

i apologise in advance posting in wrong section. bit under pressure/frustration since cannot access home computer.

pre-problem: playing game on windows 7 (ubuntu on slave hard-drive), , exited desktop go grab snack. before leaving, left pc on, , turned off monitor.

problem: when came back, turned on monitor find no display. monitor brand came up, , went idle mode. tried pressing keys on keyboard, keyboard not responding , numlock light off. in addition, have optical mouse lights red on bottom when computer on light off.

tried turning off computer via power button, not respond (same reset). turned off computer via emergency switch on power supply , did trick.

can power pc, fans (cpu, graphics card, psu, 3 case) running, dvd-drive open/close via button. no response from: monitor, keyboard, mouse, , power/reset-button shutdown/restart (holding it),

attempted solutions: left pc off 24 hours without power cord plugged, removed memory stick (ram), re-installed graphics cards motherboard, re-installed cables connected power supply motherboard. , begged motherboard work again.

thoughts: motherboard problem since fans including processor, case, video card, , power supply running normally,

@ point lost. wish wouldn't have replace (except dvd-drive, mouse, keyboard, monitor, , both hard-drives) non-monetary recommendations appreciated.

edit computer specs
video card: nvidia geforce 8600
motherboard gigabyte (still looking model)
power supply: ocz (still looking model)
processor: amd dual-core (still looking model)
ram: 4gb (still looking brand/model)
