Premiere Elements 8: DeNoiser Behaviour When Burning Projects to DVD

i have been trying save recently-completed project dvd , have discovered curiosity regarding denoiser have applied 1 of audio clips in timeline, or rather, behaviour.

it little difficult explain, here goes, , if needs clarification, please let me know.

in project, there couple of sections of audio in timeline consist of old analogue audio, , quite hissy , benefit little noise reduction. so, have used denoiser on both sections. on first such section, have set -7.5 db reduction, , on second, -2.5 db reduction. haven't encountered problems second section, following refers first section only. first section begins low level audio, volume increases after few seconds. when first open project , play low-level audio @ start of section, noisefloor setting has not yet been established (according display of denoiser @ it), , causes audio drop in overall volume. establishes thinks noisefloor should be, @ correct level. then, when play section again, there no drop in audio, noisefloor has been established.

when transferring project dvd without me playing section first, noisefloor setting gets established, drop in audio present on burned dvd of project. if play section through, first, noisefloor established and, consequently, audio not drop during initial low level few seconds of section of audio, burned dvd of project (after doing first) come out without audio drop (which how want be).

i have thought settings of denoiser @ stages of audio sections, once played through, 'set in stone', if saving project @ point, , play identically each , every time play through, appears calculating noisefloor should each time play project. so, depending on whether or not have played section through (when first opening project), affects how audio gets transferred on burned dvd of project!

why aren't calculations of denoiser settings on audio section(s) using 'set in stone', such, once played through first time?

edit

just say, have opened project again, today, , appears audio section have noisefloor setting established without me first having play section through, , audio plays, every time, want (no drop in audio level @ start of audio section). don't know why behaving yesterday, maybe audio section got corrupted along way. anyway, seems ok now, don't yet understand how denoiser supposed behave in projects - between time when first apply 1 of audio sections, time when burn project dvd. maybe denoiser settings are 'set in stone', such, in projects, , temporary behaviour denoiser, yesterday, caused me have doubts this.

there have been several complaints denoiser (in both pre , prpro), , observe, initially, denoiser must sample audio, establish settings address hiss. normally, playing audio set denoiser, , should stick - it's doing you. why loosing settings yesterday mystery.

the denoise effects in audition sampling first step, , work samples, have not seen behavior of audition effects - premiere. why there differences in effects, cannot say. apply effect in audition, separate program (though included in couple of suites prpro), , it's not quite easy "round-trip" between pre, in 1 of prpro suites.

my workflow, if applying denoiser in premiere, play clip several times, after noise floor has been determined. happens naturally, doing critical listening, several plays standard.

most of problems seem when 1 applies effect, output timeline. beginning of clip still has hiss, while effect samples, cuts in. never apply audio effect without critical listening, several times, cannot imagine others applying , never playing - seems happen often.

good luck, , glad settings sticking now.
