Thread: mount permissions in fstab

i have ntfs partition mounted in fstab since ubuntu installation, know mount options allowed me write partition, lately, can't write partition.

uuid=369ae9cd9ae98a27 /media/media ntfs defaults,umask=007,gid=46 0 0

know umask gives me full permissions, then, defaults options rw, exec, auto, nouser, dev, suid, etc.

nouser option bugging me, reason why can't write it?

should replace defaults rw, exec, auto, user, dev, suid, async, ... etc?

i suspect need run check on partition in windows. if file system unclean, ubuntu remount read (ro). 'nouser' option doesn't have write permissions.
