Thread: Restoring Grub in dual-boot setup (Win7+Ubuntu 11.10)

hello there. tried update ubuntu 11.10 in dual-boot setup. upgrade partially failed (detailed description here) in end reinstalled system cd , fine.

somewhere in process grub loader got duplicated. first saw grub menu (black background). in order ubuntu had chose windows 7 option, grub window appeared, had chose ubuntu - , worked.

however, nasty devil forced me try fix that. tried boot-repair (here's log file pastebin) , went fine. 1 grub menu when start computer , ubuntu loads fine. however, can't boot windows 7 now, option there, hitting enter nothing.

ideas?

if went terminal session , rean grub updater, restart os probe , rebuild menu tree:
