Thread: 11.10 system crash - will not boot into Ubuntu.
i need please.
after party daughters acer 5535 running 11.10 32 bit 2.6.35-24-generic-pae #4 no longer boot ubuntu. stating in recovery mode end going into:
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: no such file or directory
mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: no such file or directory
target filesystem doesn't have requested /sbin/init.
no init found. try passing init = bootarg.
busybox v1.18.4 (ubuntu 1:1.18.4-2ubuntu2) built-in shell (ash)
enter 'help' list of built in commands.
(initramfs)
entered exit , get:
cant open /root/dev/console: no such file
kernel panic.
can recover here?

good news. laptop started , went disk check mode found fault , asked me if wanted fix it. yes, , have system working again.
