Thread: Reboot to see Wifi networks

hello all,
i'm running 10.04 lucid lynx on ibm t40. internal wireless card cisco aironet .

have 2 issues. first, when connect wifi hotspot, other hotspots detected disappear list. if try use "connect hidden wireless network..." feature fails connect specified hotspot.

second, if move laptop outside broadcast area of hotspot i'm connected (ie science building library or uc), no other networks detected. aggravating because know there networks @ these new location open , work, cant see them.

solution found problem restart laptop. suddenly, can see networks in broadcast range, if connect 1 have first problem on again.

, time appreciated.

still no idea on why happening or how correct it...
