Text and images causing rollover effect issues

hello,

 

i have menu button working, , having problems rollover effect applied when mouseover. text, image (used display different states of button), button has issue these items being comprised on or in it.

 

for example, without text and/or image on button, rollover effect accomplished fine when mousover. if apply text and/or image button, when mouseover, text and/or image prevents button performing rollover effect when mouseover. text or image "highlighted" (well area/bounding boxes encompass) when mouseover, "navigate" away text or image (mouseover actual button) rollover effect accomplished. how can (button div, text div, , image) play nice 1 another, issue experiencing eliminated?

 

moreover, issue has same effect on actions applied button, example, mouseover play or stop actions not accomplished due text or image within button.

 

solutions have tried did not yeild favorable result:

 

1. turning symbol
2. grouping together
3. merging both text div , image button div via elements menyu (drag , drop both items button div)

 

any community appreciated.

i had same problem andthe suggestion place invisible shape on top of elements in button , attaching event handlers shape : http://forums.adobe.com/message/5244542#5244542
