Thread: Could someone give me an advice for a fast, cheap network printer?

after no 1 seems have answer this problem, it's time buy new printer suppose.

please give me advice network printer working ubuntu cheap , fast?
(i need text + basic graphics, many pages.)

thank you!

i've never use router guess built-in usb printer server can't there. printer works when not connected through print server assume problem not printer software on pc. hp has excellent reputation linux compatibility. i've had luck 2 brother networked multifunction machines though hp setup seems plug & play. 1 brother machine seems not in foomatic database have manual install it. brother offer linux drivers machines. hp has utility (hplip) allows on-screen monitoring of ink levels etc. brother not. if considering lexmark, dell (rebranded lexmark), kodak or canon, research linux driver availability before purchasing. no sense in buying problem.

edit: purposes, lots of text , don't need color laser way go imo. samsung lasers seem positive reviews. i'll relate problem & solution brother mfc-7820n. terribly slow 2nd , subsequent pages. default driver brscript 3. found on synaptic cups driver machine. faster.
