Thread: Hiding the Virtual Host from Desktop users

hey,

have question possibility of setting system automatically boot vm without exposing linux desktop user. i'm considering setting vm system parents me remote troubleshooting, current plan run linux host can take care of making vhd backups giving me place remote under circumstance other hardware failure.

i'd set can still run gui desktop myself log remotely while automatically starting windows vm without parents knowing it. they're against change, , i'd able explain "penguin in top corner windows 7 now" while boots. bash/cli fine during startup, want keep exposing them linux desktop. i'd command keys such ctrl+alt+del work under windows guest. mounting .vhd on linux desktop transfer files required, usual usb device , optical drive passthrough.

makes sense everyone. i'm not new virtualization, new linux virtualization, , linux whole. i'm not looking specific instructions @ moment (though pointers appreciated), general idea of software/hypervisor allow these kind of features. in advance!

i suppose have set autologon , run script starts vm in full screen mode.

won't seemless should done.
