when open synaptic, message

you have 3 broken packages on system!

use "broken" filter locate them.

the broken filter displays required updates.



when open update manager 34 updates listed selected / downloaded, not installed. when attempt install following dialog appears:

check if using third party repositories. if disable them, since common source of problems.
furthermore run following command in terminal: apt-get install -f
