Upgrade Joomla 2.5.28 to 3.5.1 - Index column size too large. The maximum column size is 767 bytes - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i tryed upgrade small joomla 2.5.28-site 3.5.1 using instruction on https://docs.joomla.org/joomla_2.5_to_3 ... gration/en .
i removed before templates, plugins , modules, not compatible 3.x. fixed database (no errors). disabled "remember me". swiched short time support , started upgrade.

than, @ abut 75% error message appeared "index column size large. maximum column size 767 bytes". complete system disrupted afterwards.

naturally worked on backup clone of website, worked before upgrade try.

the website small (only 18 articles, no extensions exeption of formular extension (proforms basic v 1.6.0), compatible joomla 3.x).

thus don`t understand, why column index of database large. 1 should think, upgrading of such mini-joomla-site work without problems.
