Link Rectangles rotated on edited pdf

historically there problem editing landscape pdf's created in 1 version of acrobat , being updated in later version: existing link rectangles rotated 90° when new page (with or without new links) inserted replacement.  adobe's helpful 'solution' manually rotate links manually (there hundreds on index page!).  fortunately problem didn't happen when moving v8 through 10.

but.

my office application revised 2003 2010 , find same problem has recurred.  if ask colleague same version of acrobat (10.1.6) word 2003 convert file, issue doesn't arise, , both use 'standard' conversion settings.

if use 'print pdf' instead of convert, problem doesn't arise: fine if don't need 'extras' in conversion.

any ideas (apart pulling more hair out)?

190 views , year later, , apparently nobody adobe has stopped comment?

other users on our site have been 'upgraded' office 2010 , have same issue.
