Thread: Notebook screen Resolution


i have installed ubuntu 10.04 on lenovo thinkpad e420.
specified screen resolution 1366x768, can 1024x768, , screen "unknown".the following dump may help:

i guess there proprietary driver problem here.

intel controller should recognisable, how persuade ubuntu use:
00:02.0 vga compatible controller: intel corporation device 0116 (rev 09)
