Thread: Ubuntu 11.10 will not allow updates of weather indicator

ubuntu 11.10

indicator-weather https://launchpad.net/weather-indicator

have correct ppa entry in software sources.

installed software center after entrying ppa. still shows installed in software center.

there date listed in update manager when try install message saying <the action require installation of packages not authenticated sources> , not install or upgrade it.

, why>

in advance. bob.

you're missing "signing key" ppa, update system can't check packages you're downloading genuine. should able fix running:
code:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:weather-indicator-team/ppa
in terminal, should automatically import key (you'll see few lines come things "gpg import successful".

however, work, may have delete existing ppa have in software sources. won't uninstall package, way.

if you're adding ppa's in future, sudo apt-add-repository command remember, makes whole process lot easier handling keys you.
