hello forum, first time here, came question: i'm planning on self-building new computer, have no prior experience of doing so. want know if following hardware compatible a.) (like motherboard , cpu, motherboard , chassis etc.) b.) ubuntu 11.10 c.) if need additional hardware. here specs: motherboard: asus socket am3/amd 880g/usb3.0/hybrid crossfirex/a&v&gbe/micro atx motherboard s m4a88t-m/usb3 chassis: gigabyte isolo 210 cpu: amd phenom ii x6 1090t processor, black edition ram: hyperx 6gb ddr3 sdram memory module kingston drive(s): intel 40gb ssd sata 3.0 gb-s 2.5 (320 series) drive2: western digital caviar blue 500 gb sata iii 7200 rpm 16 mb cache gpu: xfx radeon hd 4870 1 gb ddr5 pci-e 2.0 psu: corsair 700 watt 80+ intel , amd in advance.

used on-board video 6 months , purchased asus gtx560 direct cu ii. both worked fine ubuntu 11.10 64...
if getting higher end card gtx560, (and if considering overclocking it) want larger power supply, 600 or 650 w. if not overclocking it, antec 500 w earth watts runs system, smallest size want consider...
don't forget motherboard @ end of it's life cycle , being replaced faster motherboards. if looking parts low price, try 1 on sale.
if first build not ssd drive stick 1 hard drive easier.
