Concerned about the scope of this project, do I need an LMS?

i have been scouring forums today try wrap head around captivate new piece of software me.  wanted build decent understanding of how project should structured before building , along way discovered lms while examining quizzing features.

 

first id give idea community of i'm trying accomplish project.  have few relatively simple training programs automate online new employee's coming in company.  each "class" 30 minutes followed quiz.  i'm curious if need lms handle quizzing since there's no compliance issues here, want assured paid attention , completed training.  since it's internal, can build out training programs in captivate, publish our site , collect quiz results via e-mail or other deliver?  or there need lms?

 

thanks advice, little bit more anticipated when dreamed idea (isn't always).

if have lms, use lms collect quizzing results.  build quizzes inside captivate modules (one module per 'chapter' of course, 1 quiz per module) , lms captures results when user interacts course.  it's best not use lmss built in quiz questions these not transferable lms if ever decide change providers.

 

forget trying use email reporting directly lessons.  captivate 6 no longer offers because caused many issues in earlier versions.  lmss have ability send reports via email.  once know lms is, can option.
