Thread: How to convert video file in Theora : best practices

hi,

have video file in .flv format, convert in theora (.ogv) format (i prefer free open source format ).

type command in terminal :

code:
ffmpeg -i myfile.flv myfile.ogv
the video , audio streams correctly identified, convertion takes long time , resulting file in theora heavy. moreover, when play it, audio quality okay (i don't notice difference original) video quality terrible .

know if may better results using additonal options in ffmpeg command , recommended best pratices in kind of work.

in advance
