Thread: Drupal 7. Apache 2 help with configuration

dear all,
after computer crashed moved drupal site different one
fresh ubuntu 11.10 instalaltion.
copied files , imported mysql database.
site in maintenance mode when made backup,
, i'd login accessing localhost/user
page appears , can insert username , password
after click on login button
seems browser loading user page reloaded..
can't access drupal site more.

think issue might apache configurations i'm not expert , don't know change.
standard apache2 installation in ubuntu
changed 2 things:
i've added addtype application/x-httpd-php .php /etc/apace2/apache2.conf file
, i've modified allowoverride none in the
<directory /var/www/> block of /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default file.
(and restarted apache after of course)

can please me understanding wrong , make website work again on computer? (this website backup of site hosted , works fine on host
provider, want "development" version on computer can try modules , settings before
uploading on host).

before old computer broke had ubuntu 11.10 installed well,
, remember modified bit configuration of apache i
followed suggestions i've found on forum, , don't
remember changed.

lot in advance guys,
appreciated!

p.s. asked question on http://drupal.org/node/1353248
(i don't know netiquette cross-posting in here, thought
might want know )

apparently didn't have php gd module installed.
installing solved problem
