RSS Feeds

hello,

 

i building site using rss feeds class.

 

i need take rss feeds 10 different news sites, "yahoo, msn, bbc, blogs , video sharing sites) , somehow syndicate of them onto 1 site way class has visit site created them vs going each of individually.

 

the imporant part of site take rss feeds video hosting self sites. know in rss feeds video sites have thumbnails, duration, views, etc.

 

how do dreamweaver cs6?

moved develop server-side applications in dreamweaver forum.

 

in order aggregate rss feeds, need have reasonable understanding of programming or scripting. dreamweaver cs6 has xsl transformations server behavior uses php parse xml document, such rss feed, , display in web page. can't handle multiple sources, need aggregate various feeds single document yourself. alternatively, use server behavior multiple times on same page display results each feed separately.

 

the other option in dreamweaver cs6 use spry data sets. these rely on javascript being enabled in browser, , have same limitation xsl transformations server behavior in they're not capable of dealing multiple sources. either need aggregate feeds single document yourself, or present them separate data sets.

 

the problem both approaches server behaviors , spry data sets being removed next version of dreamweaver, have difficulty maintaining page if upgrade next version. nor easy describe how use either method in forum post. devoted 2 whole chapters (more 80 pages) these subjects in essential guide dreamweaver cs4.

 

the first question answer whether have experience php or javascript. if you're familiar basics of php, it's not difficult hand-code script display results of rss feed using simplexml. if you've never used php, face uphill task.
