Thread: Thunderbird Missing after latest update

so have unique problem. working great , installed security update on 19th nov. after cant find/run thunderbird. there check email on unity dash nothing happens. tried installing again(did not un-install it, disappeared) says dependencies not installed. exact syntax is:

following packages have unmet dependencies:

thunderbird: depends: libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1) 1:4.6.1-9ubuntu3 installed
depends: libnotify1 (>= 0.5.0) not going installed
depends: libnotify1-gtk2.10 not going installed
depends: zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3ubuntu3 installed

attaching screen shots if might help. i'm running ubuntu 11.10 64bit. bit of noob on linux if silly thing sorry in advance.

try following commands.

code:

sudo apt-get autoremove

(attempt fix broken packages.)

code:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

or

code:

sudo apt-get -f install

(update , install)

code:

sudo apt-get update

code:

sudo apt-get upgrade
