Re MX records and A records


i using muse , launched website find clients emails not reaching me!!

 

i had purchased domain provider , point them business catalyst site website , works not email..

 

their support said

 

i have checked bounce message, reason why email bounced because domain foundonpurpose.com has no mx record. according bounce message, it  indicates we've attempted make connection recipient's server didn't receive reply. rectify issue, please point domain name fasthosts nameservers mx record point our mailserver. since website hosted on hosting provider, edit record of domain point 192xxxxxxxx. record points ip address.

i see foundonpurpose.com dont have mx record set.

as site in web basic site plan , need use external email hosting.

 

try add external mail server information while creating new mx record in domain settings.

admin > site settings > site domains > more action > new mx record
