Thread: Is there a way to "downgrade" (undo an upgrade)?
i upgraded 10.10 11.04 natty, not knowing doing (newbie here), , gnome [or called ubuntu classic] barely usable, suspect may problem graphics card or driver. card have: 00:02.0 vga compatible controller: intel corporation 82865g integrated graphics controller (rev 02)
i'm wondering: can enter commands , revert ubuntu 10.10? 10.10 running fine, wish hadn't upgraded.
also, in thread said: "while 'ubuntu classic' proved unusable, "ubuntu classic (no effects)" worked me fine." possible enter command boot "ubuntu classic (no effects)"?
in advance.
since 11.04 ubuntu uses unity desktop. if have upgraded 11.04 using unity, unless on old computer low specs, in case in fallback mode.
internal upgrade newer version messy more not. clean install newer version of ubuntu, safe , clean.
first of important data. either reinstall 10.10 (which reach end of support soon) or can download latest 11.10 , install it. later better option.
hope helps
