Problem setting up Dreamweaver Win7
my previous xp machine classic asp sites, died , have new machine have installed windows 7 iis6. still using cs3 although have cs6 installed on php machine working ok.
i having problems getting dreamweaver cs3 running correctly.
i had 1 site on dw running ok lets site1 running think ok.
i decided load site, site2
when did had error message
"this may cause operations such synchronization, work incorrectly"
site 1 positioned @ d:/mywebsites/site1
site 2 positioned @ d:/mywebsites/site2
after getting error message deleted site2, problem investigated after had finished work on site1
i tried continue site1 cannot site 1 open.
when open site1/index.htm error message
module iis web core
notification maprequesthandler
handler staticfile
error code 0x80070002
requested url http://localhost:80/index.htm
physical path c:\inetpub\wwwroot\index.htm
logon method anonymous
logon user anonymous
it seems me
requested url http://localhost:80/index.htm
should http://localhost:80/site1/index.htm
physical path :\inetpub\wwwroot\index.htm
should be d:\inetpub\wwwroot\site1\index.htm
if attempt create new site in local info site3 select d:/mywebsites/site3 local root folder entry d:/mywebsites/ site3 not automatically appear.
i wondering how check local host
at moment using d:/inetpub/wwwroot
many thanks

when did had error message
"this may cause operations such synchronization, work incorrectly"
site 1 positioned @ d:/mywebsites/site1
site 2 positioned @ d:/mywebsites/site2
this alert typically thrown when 1 site definition nested inside one, e.g.,
site1 = d:/mywebsites/site1
site2 = d:/mywebsites/site1/site2
are sure didn't have such structure?
the rest of messages bit confusing. file named "index.html" can not contain vbscript or asp calls , therefore wouldn't need participation of iis @ all. it's plain-jane html file. nevertheless, how have local testing server site defined? contents of of fields?
let's take tack - when use explorer, see index.html file located on d: drive? how have defined local root folder in site definition (i.e., path have specified)?
