Upgrading 2.5.28 "Joomla update" menu doesn't appear - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trying upgrade joomla vers. 2.5.28

in component menu ("componentes" in spanish release) "ugrade joomla" option doesn't appear,

what can do?

make sure have backup
read viewtopic.php?f=710&t=793171

components >>> joomla update ... options ... change update channel 'short term support'.

if after reading , applying viewtopic.php?f=710&t=793171
then remember 3rd party extensions install different files depending on version of joomla installed in to.

then try on localhost
install site
uninstall non compatible 3rd party extensions
set beez default template

in separate folder new database install fresh 2.5.28
edit configuration.php connect original database , update
your database date.

in folder new database install 3.8.1
install 3rd party extensions
edit configuration.php (of 3.8.) connect original (updated) database
your original (updated) database connected fresh joomla , 3rd party extension files.

Falang and too many redirects - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello i don't know if i'm posting in right place , i'm apologise have searched solution long time , couldn't find . my problem starts when have install component falang (translation component ). after time decided uninstall , problem starts. go extension tab meny in left column press manage button, list on right found falang component , delete it, when did website not accessible did stupidest thing install falang package file 1 more time , here problem, when trying open website message showing: "website redirected many times. try clearing cookies. err_too_many_redirects" i have cleared cookies didn't help. have used tool "header checker tool" , result "301 moved permanently " please because don't know do. thank you setka Board index Joomla! 3.x - Ask Support Questions Here Extensions for Joomla! 3.x

Putting a Flash inside a Flash?

i'm debating on creating website on flash profession cs6, wondering if there's way embed flash automatic photo gallery have created flash website. possible? if yes, how do it?   also, site promises pretty complicated in future store , such. idea use flash type of site? you can.  need either load dynamically separate file or build file movieclip.  cannot import might image because lose code in result.   to load dynamically, usiung loader class (serach google: "as3 loader tutorial") More discussions in ActionScript 3 adobe
