Thread: dual boot HP 'Recovery' partition caused Grub error no such partition
i've had dual boot windows 7 , ubuntu 11.10 on hp g62.
fine until accidentally last option in dual boot menu on startup, think might have been 'recovery' partition (i think deleted hp system tools partition install ubuntu originally).
on startup grub error no such partition. think booting 'recovery' partition wiped master boot record. i'm worried i've lost ubuntu installation (don't care windows one). when boot live cd can see windows partition in file manager not ubuntu files. in gparted have disk shown unallocated, fear might ubuntu partition.
i'm newbie this, if there way can ubuntu installation grateful advice, thanks.
