Why Does Acrobat Keep Crashing?

hi,

 

can tell me why adobe acrobat reader open , brings splash page asking me accept adobe license agreement, of course, accept crashes before can open , starts whole process off again. i'm using creative cloud , totally unable read pdf's.

 

this holding me , creating backlog of work i'm not looking forward trying catch on.

 

any ands welcomed please.

which version of acrobat reader? talking reader (free) or acrobat (paid for)?
