Flash Player seems to install, but will not function

flash player installs not work.  when go troubleshooting website (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html), box not fill information.  if right click box should however, menu shows version , acts if afp installed.  cannot select settings, can select global settings.  global settings dialog box open.

i using afp version 11.7.700.169, using ie 9, , running windows 7.  have 2 other pcs, , both running program fine.  far, have tried many things troubleshoot no luck.

so far:

-complete uninstall, using adobe uninstaller.  have deleted folders , content well, shut down, , tried reinstall.

-i have deleted registry entry , tried setting 0 located @ hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\activex compatibility\{d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000}.

-i using norton 360, , have tried install services stopped (anti-virus, anti-spam, auto protect, etc)

-i have verified active x filtering not checked in ie.

-active x , scripting options in ie>tools>internet options enabled , mirror selections on 2 working pcs.

-i have tried uninstall , reinstall earlier version of afp no luck.

-shockwave flash object addon enabled.

screen shot included show happens on redirect screen after install afp.

i'm little disappointed in forums - no responses.  i'm happy share found issue, , sharing solution in case others have same problem.  interesting thing setting changed different on 2 working computers.  in ie9 navigate tools>internet options>advanced , first check box under accelerated graphics...check it.  restart ie , voila, fixed.  other 2 pcs using have box unchecked , afp works fine...odd.
