Thread: Pantech USB broadband modem and 11.10


i've got pantech 290 broadband modem verizon. works fine (with vzmanager software) on windows laptop, can't seem work kubuntu onieric laptop. seems recognize modem (as /tty/acm0) when plug in. network manager seems recognize it's there, can't make connection it. i've seen reports "just works" in 11.04, apparently not in 11.10. suggestions? there way network manager spit out debugging info it's trying do?

killall modem-manager
if modem-manager hanging onto device
wait while modem-manager re init , prob device , test again
