System variable Quiz Score deducts points when lesson is re-opened (Capt 5.5 with Kallidus LMS)

i'm trying grips quizing , reporting, particularly complete/incomplete check content has been covered. i've set small test file awards 1 point each 'next' button. project works in lms when completed in 1 go , if user exits halfway through (lms report correctly incomplete 50%). problem occurs when reopening lesson shows score correctly moment deducts points.

 

i've included user variable in project keep score too. i've tried various options e.g. default data tracking, user can skip quiz, etc issue remains.

first opened - top score user set variable, bottom system variable cpquizinfopointsscored

 

halfaw , re-open - completed course halfway , both scores on lesson both @ 5. shut down lesson , re-opened. system variable showed 5 1 second went 4 whereas user variable shows 'correct' score of 5.

 

i've looked @ debug file lms , can see seems behaving should i.e calling postion scores etc , correct. appreciated!
