Clear Dry Ink


i trying use clear dry ink using photoshop , indesign. have followed every instruction can find , have yet work. there has missing step!!! below have been doing...this a xerox® color 800/1000 press.

creating effects in photoshop

to highlight area of image a
soft edge and/or gradient fill, add spot
channel clear photoshop file. save
it tiff or psd file , place indesign
on clear layer.
creating spot channel in photoshop:
1. create new path or select shape.
2. shape selected, add new spot channel
a. name new spot channel, use same
name clear ink swatch in indesign.
b. select color > m 100% or same color  chosen in indesign
c. select % value if desired.
3. save psd or tiff spot color included
4. place indesign on clear layer.
setting indesign file
1. add new layer in layers pallet and
name clear.
2. move clear layer to top in
layers pallet.
3. add new color in swatches pallet and
name swatch
clear. default
in color servers. it’s important
to use same swatch name across all
applications might use. swatch
name case sensitive.
4. designate color type as  spot.
5. set color mode cmyk: 0/100/0/0.
you can choose of 4 process colors
and set to
100%.
6. assign color  clear to fills , strokes of text or shapes created in indesign , move them clear layer.
7. print clear on image, text or graphic,
set
overprint so not knock
out image below. select
window >
attributes > overprint fill and/or stroke
.
