i'm having ongoing issue lightroom 4.4 when using adjustment brushes in development module raw files canon 5d mark iii raw on retina macbook pro running os 10.8.3  when using adjustment brush make exposure adjustments, adjusted area gets covered tiny black speckles. see when trying darken down highlights or when trying lighten shadow areas. heavier adjustment, worse speckles get. have taken same original images , opened them in photoshop , made similar local adjustments curves , images fine, it's error lightroom inserting artifacts. suggestions? turn off automask checkbox in brush options. i'm seeing behavior in cs4, cs5 , cs6 on mac using applescript. when height of text object layer such:        tell app "adobe photoshop cs4"           tell current document                set textobjectheight to height of text object of art layer 1           end tell      end tell   the value returned doesn't match height of text object. in mind text object box that's displayed when click on text in text layer text tool active. value width appears match, i'd expect.   i'm trying height , width of text box (text object) can draw box "underneath" on layer 1 can tell text box is. kind of fpo-type assistant. i'm using position values , height , width create colored box. realized height isn't right.   any great appreciated. i've not explored use of javascript far, ope...

hi all, planning on installing ubuntu server on old desktop soon. have downloaded , burnt disk. may total new question, think run problem when trying , running. here details: drivers , installed fine, , ethernet cord connected. however, connecting @ school, , access internet need login, done via web browser. install minimal ui such xubuntu, etc, via command line need internet....? question is, there anyway connect schools internet via command line, or there way download minimal ui , install via disk drive? appreciated. i found out can log in device if know mac address. know command in ubuntu server locate this? hi all ive had 78 views today on post below no responses guess toughie - forum or website should refer think ? many thanks, andrew nvidia failed load kernal module know simple 1 after 3 hours trying stuff stickys im afriad have ask help. computer worked fine last year or today wont run games or play sounds port. on startup low graphics mode warning box saying cant load nvidia kernal module , no drivers avialble. going admin/hardware drivers/it shows nivid accel graphics driver 'activated , in use' plugs corect , mutes turned off - alsamixer confirms this going admin/nvid xserver setting brings box saying 'you dont appear using nvis x driver - please edit x config file (just run nvidia-xconfig' root) , restart x server. ive done first part of sudo nvidia-xconfig , says backing up. dont know how restart x server (ive tried ctrl/alt/backspace). doesnt fix anything tried downloading latest driver nvidia when try run in terminal w...
